It’s common to experience a range of emotions, including uncertainty, anxiety, and stress.

The world of athletics is often seen as glamorous, but it comes with immense pressure to succeed. Athletes face high expectations from coaches, teammates, fans, and themselves. This constant pressure can lead to a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety and depression are common mental health conditions that can significantly impact your daily life.
We will provide a supportive environment to explore underlying causes, challenge negative thought patterns, and develop healthy habits. With the right treatment, you can experience improved mood, reduced symptoms, and increased overall well-being.
Grief
Grief is a natural response to loss, whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the loss of a job. While grief is a normal part of life, it can be overwhelming and debilitating for some.
About Your Therapist
Tori Ha, M.Ed., LPC
Tori Ha, owner and founder of The Therapy Couch, was born and raised in Waco, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy from Texas State University. She practiced for over a decade with varying populations but found her true passion in helping pre-teens, teens, and young adults with eating disorders during her time at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She has experience working with different levels of care, including inpatient, PHP, IOP, and outpatient.
Additionally, as a former competitive athlete in Olympic Weightlifting, she has an understanding and passion for working with individuals of all ages who feel the pressure to perform at a high level, battle perfectionism, and struggle with their identity outside of what they “do.”
Tori received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas (Wreck ‘em!) before moving to Temple for her husband’s residency.
As a therapist, Tori takes a direct approach, particularly after establishing trust and rapport with her clients. Her sessions are characterized by a blend of humor, vulnerability, and compassion.
